Ethiopia Logs 26 New Covid Cases, Zero Deaths
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 26 new Covid-19 infections and zero related fatalities on Tuesday, a ministry of health report says.
The latest positive infections habe been confirmed from 4,444 tests conducted in the last twenty-four hours.
Sixty-four patients have also recovered from the disease in the same period, the ministry reports.
The Covid-19 death toll stays at 7,510 after the nation recorded zero fatalities on day.
Health officials last reported a Coronavirus induced fatality on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
There are now 7,917 confirmed active cases of Covid-19 in the nation.
Of these, fifteen are severely sick and are getting medical treatment in hospital, says the report.
The nation has not offered any Covid-19 vaccine in the last 24-hours as the vaccine drive stays at a standstill.
Ethiopia has administered over 29.41 doses of the vaccine so far, and about 24.5m it’s citizens are also fully vaccinated against the virus.
The nation identified its first Coronavirus case in March 2020.
To date, it has confirmed 470, 468 infections after conducting nearly 4.8 million tests. At least 455, 039 9f the infected people have already recovered.
