Ethiopia’s New Ambassador to UAE Takes Office

ADDIS ABABA – Aklilu Kebede has officially taken office as Ethiopian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Ambassador presented his credentials to Deputy director of UAE’s Foreign Ministry and International Cooperation, Rashid Abdulla Al Qaseer, in Dubai on Monday.



The two sides also held a brief discussion during which Al Qaseer hailed the political, economic, commercial and investment relations that bind the two countries.

Ambassador Aklilu spoke “some important pending issues related to the problems faced” by Ethiopian citizens residing in Dubai.

He also requested the assistance of the office of the Deputy Director in handling the matter properly.

In addressing the concerns, Deputy director Al Qaseer expressed his willingness to work in collaboration with pertinent bodies and authorities in Dubai Government.

Al Qaseer also expressed his readiness to work together with the Consul General further wishing him success during his stay in Dubai.
