1.6bln Birr Allotted to Rebuild Schools Damaged in Conflict
ADDIS ABABA – Ministry of education on Saturday said it has allocated 1.6 billion birr to reconstruct schools damaged by the conflict in northern Ethiopia.
The announcement came after a meeting with education officials of Afar and Amhara regional states.
After discussions, the ministry agreed to take full responsibility to rebuild 1,093 heavily damaged schools, it said in a brief statement on Saturday.
It has, therefore, allotted more than 1.6 billion birr for the reconstruction of the schools destroyed by the TPLF, the Ministry added.
