ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed has started his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday morning.
“Abiy Ahmed and his delegation traveled to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for an official working visit,” the PM office says.
In Abu Dhabi, the PM met Sheik Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss issues of mutual interest.
“My greatest appreciation” to Mohamed for the warm welcome accorded to him and his delegation, said in a tweet after the meeting.
“We discussed bilateral and regional issues as well as explored ways of further strengthening our ties,” tweeted the PM.
