Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia Discuss on Investment Cooperation

ADDIS ABABA – Top official of Ethiopian Investment Commission(EIC) and Saudi Arabia’s top envoy in Ethiopia have discussed on ways to bolstor investment ties between their countries.

The discussion between Commissioner Lelise Neme and Ambassador Sami Jamil Abdullah on Monday was focused strengthening the two countries investment relations, said the EIC after the meet.



Investment potentials of Ethiopia and promoting areas of investment in the two nations were also the agendas raised during the discussion, it said.

Repors put Saudi Arabia alongside China and Turkey as the top three countries that bring the largest volumes of Foreign Direct Investment to Ethiopia.

Both countries are keen to increase that with thir finance ministers recently agreed to boost their economic and investment relations in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement centered on economic partnership in agriculture, infrastructure development, energy, manufacturing industries and trade.
