Gambella Region Approves 4 billion Birr Annual Budget

ADDIS ABABA – The Gamberal regional state council approved on Wednesday a four billion birr budget bill for the 2021/22 Ethiopian fiscal year.

Members of the council passed the budget bill during the final day of their three-day long session.

The newly endorsed spending has shown a 657 million birr increase as compared to the previous year, according to the state news agency.

Out of the total budget approved, the region said 1.167 million birr will be covered from revenue sources in the region. The remaining more than 2.8 billion birr will be raised from support from the federal government, loan and donations.
