Ethiopia Records 480 New Covid-19 Cases, 3 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has reported 480 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to more than 110, 500.

The country tested close to 5000 individuals over the past twenty-four hours to identify the new positive cases, according to the ministry’s daily Covid-19 report.

The report also said a further 3 Covid patients have passed away on the day, taking the tally to 1, 709.

At least 330 patients are currently severely ill, according to the ministry’s report which puts the country’s number of confirmed active cases at 33, 926.

Over the same day, at least 1, 109 people have recuperated from the deadly respiratory disease, taking the tally of recoveries to nearly 75, 000.

To date, the East African country has conducted more than 1.74 million laboratory tests and confirmed 110, 554 cases.
