TPLF’s EC Member Keria Ibrahim Surrenders to Federal Forces
ADDIS ABEBA – Keria Ibrahim, member of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front or TPLF’s executive committee, has surrendered to federal forces today, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Keria previously served as the speaker in the upper House of Ethiopian parliament, House of Federation until, the government said, “her resignation [on June 9, 2020] to join the clique in Mekelle”.
Her surrender comes three days after the Ethiopian National Defence Force army captured the capital of Tigray after four weeks of fighting.
“Other TPLF members should follow Keria’s suit and surrender,” the government in a statement.
Earlier today, Sudanese army reportedly captured a militia leader of the TPLF inside the Sudanese borders with a huge amount of money and gold.
