Ethiopia Records 1, 386 New Coronavirus Cases, 28 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ethiopia has increased by 1, 386 to 32, 722, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry, in its daily report, said 22, 101 people have been tested for the virus in the past twenty-four hours to identify the new positive cases.

The report also shows the death toll has increased by 28 to 572.

Currently, there are 19, 210 active cases in the nation. Of these, 216 patients are in severe conditions, said the ministry.

During the reported period, health officials said 414 patients have recovered from the disease, taking the total number of recoveries to 12, 938.

Ethiopia confirmed its first case of COVID-19 on March 13. To date, the country has tested 651, 311 people, and confirmed over 32, 700.
