Council of Somali Regional State Ratifies Budget 29bln Birr budget Bill, Draft Laws
ADDIS ABABA – The council of Somali regional state has ratified a 29 billion birr budget bill for the 2021/21 Ethiopian fiscal year, which began last week, as well as several draft laws on Monday.
The council, during its 13th regular session, deliberated on the bill tabled by the region’s finance and economic cooperation bureau for discussion, reported Somali broadcasting agency’s report.
Members of the council unanimously voted for the 29 billion birr budget bill, it added.
The report also said the council approved at least for draft law including a bill that lays a ground for registering and disclosing assets and wealth of government officials, draft laws to set up a regional human rights commission, and restructure the region’s audit bureau.
