Football Prodigy Dagmawi Meets President Sahle-work
ADDIS ABABA – President Sahle-Work Zewde has today received the 12-year-old ‘keepie up king’ Dagmawi Tewodros and his father Tewodros Bacha at her office.
Dagmawi has developed football skills since childhood and has the dream of becoming an international football player.
The father and son were invited by FIFA as guests of honor in Russia and recently at the Qatar World Cup where he used his passion to raise money for Charity causes.
Dagmawi started a 2 Birr challenge by dribbling a ball, raising consequent money for the Children’s Heart Fund in Ethiopia.
He did 974 keepie uppies outside Stadium 974 in Doha.
President Sahle-work said that for Dagmawi’s dream to come true the only way was for him to join a Football Academy as soon as possible.
She promised to support and urge all those who come to do the same, according to the Office of the president.
