Algeria 2022: Ethiopia Names 28-Man Squad for CHAN
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian national team Coach Wubetu Abate has today named his 28-man squad for the 2022 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
Wubetu previously made a call for 55 players to the team for preparations. He, however, trimmed the squad to 28 after seeing their current form in the premier league matches, taking place in Dire Dawa.
The Ethiopian Football Federation says the players will first take medical and physical condition tests before starting preparations for the tournament next month.
The Walia Ibex are making a return to the CHAN for the first time since 2016
They have been drawn in group A for the tournament and will square out with hosts Algeria, Libya, and Mozambique.
