Ethiopia Records 13 Covid Cases, Zero Fatalities
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia on Thursday logged 13 more Coronavirus cases and zero related fatalities, according to the Ministry of Health.
In its update issued on Thursday evening, the ministry said the new infections bring the confirmed tally to 493, 089.
The recovery count has reached 471, 498, said the ministry, after 10 covid-19 patients recuperated from the communicable respiratory disease.
There are now 14, 018 confirmed active cases in the country. About 13 of them are seriously sick and are getting treatments in the hospital.
Zero Coronavirus related fatality has also been recorded in the reported period as the number of days without covid death extends to 11.
The acute respiratory disease has claimed the lives of 7,571 people since the first death was confirmed on April 5, 2020.
The data regarding the Covid-19 vaccine drive has remained the same as the previous days.
Ethiopia started offering the Covid-19 vaccine to its citizens in March 2021. To date, it has administered nearly 52.6 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. More than 43.1 million people have also received at least two shots of the vaccine.
