Amhara Region Distributes 136 Tractors to Farmers

ADDIS ABABA – Amhara regional state on Sunday handed over 136 tractors to farmers as its officials plan to enhance the level of mechanized farming in the region.

Speaking at the handover ceremony Sunday, President of the region Yilikal Kefyale (Ph.D.) stressed the need to boost the use of technology to realize the potential of the agriculture sector.

This requires persistent efforts, he said, to bring about change in the mode of farming and enable farmers to practice mechanized agriculture.
