ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed presided over the 69th graduation ceremony of the Ethiopian Military Academy on Sunday.
Graduates from various disciplines who participated in the Black Lion course were elevated to the rank of second lieutenant.
The PM urged the graduates to work hard in preparation for their future roles as leaders of Ethiopia.
“Congratulations to today’s graduating officers of the Ethiopian Military Academy,” he said.
“I trust you to develop heroism, patriotism-based purpose, and never-ending knowledge on your next journey,” said the PM who is also Commander-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Defence Forces.
Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian Defence Forces and several high ranking government officials attended the graduation ceremony.
