No Covid-19 Deaths Ethiopia for 20 Consecutive Days

ADDIS ABABA – The Ministry of Health has reported 38 new infections of Covid-19 on Tuesday as the country continues to record zero covid-19 fatalities.

The latest positive cases have been confirmed from 3,643 people tested for coronavirus in the last twenty-four hours, says the ministry of health report.

The confirmed Covid-19 cases tally currently stands at 470, 790. About 455, 743 of the patients have already recovered from the disease, says the ministry after adding only 6 recoveries on Tuesday.

On the same day, one seriously sick Covid-19 patient was discharged from hospital, bringing the severe cases total down to 3.

The patients are among the 7, 543 confirmed active cases in the nation.

No covid-19 deaths have been reported in the last 24-hours, extending the period without Coronavirus-induced fatalities to 20.

Health officials last confirmed a Coronavirus-related fatality on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. The Covid death toll remains at 7, 510, the report shows.

The pace of the vaccination campaign has not shown any progress on Tuesday ahead of the planned major vaccine camping next month. Ethiopia has administered nearly 29.4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses since it launched the vaccine drive in March, 2021. More than 24.5 million of its citizens are fully vaccinated.
