ADDIS ABABA – State Minister of Foreign Affairs Redwan Hussein met with Indian investors to address observed investment challenges in Ethiopia.
The discussion between Redwan and the executive committee of India Business Forum (IBF) touched up on issues ranging from Foreign currency availability to security and taxation.
The state minister explained various investment opportunities made available to foreign investors since the new political administration’s ascent to power three years ago.
He thanked the Indian investors for investing in Ethiopia even during difficult times setting examples for foreign investors.
Ambassador Redwan also asserted the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of foreign investors in Ethiopia, including the Indians.
The investors expressed confidence in the potential of Ethiopia to be a thriving investment hub in the region and the continent as well with commitments to solve investment challenges in the country.
They appreciated the Ethiopian government’s goodwill to give attention to their concerns with devotion to address them.
More than 600 Indian investors are currently engaging in various investment sectors in Ethiopia.
