Demeke Holds Discussions with FMs of Namibia, Cameroon

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen held separate discussions with foreign ministers of Namibia and Cameroon.



The discussions took place on the margins of the ongoing African Union ministerial session which started on Wednesday morning.

Demeke first met his Namibian counterpart, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

The two sides deliberated bilateral relationships and issues of common concerns,” said the Ministry of foreign Affairs.

He later held a similar discussion with Lejeune Mbella Mbella, foreign Minister of Cameroon to discuss bilateral issues.



During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister also thanked the government of Cameroon for standing by Ethiopia during the recent UN human rights special session on Ethiopia in Geneva.

FM Mbella, on his part, expressed his country’s interest to strengthen bilateral relationships with Ethiopia with extended engagements in agriculture and joint political consultations.
