Ethiopia’s total Covid Cases Nears 465, 000
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has registered 176 fresh cases of Covid-19 and four-related deaths on Sunday, says a ministry of health report.
The new infections, identified from more than 3500 tests conducted in the last twenty-four hours, takes country’s confirmed cases total to nearly 465,000.
The report also says four additional Coronavirus-induced fatalities have been recorded in the reported period, pushing the death toll to 7,331.
There are now 285 severely sick patients receiving medical treatments in hospitals, says the report that puts the national confirmed active cases count at 59, 811.
As many as 1,141 patients have also recuperated from Covid-19 in the past 24-hours, bringing the recovery tally to 397, 786.
No new data regarding vaccine drive in the 24-hours has been reported as the total vaccines provided to the public remains the same as Saturday.
The East African nation started offering the Covid vaccine to its citizens on March 13, 2021. To date, it has administered 10,973,077 doses nationwide while fully vaccinating over 9.37 million people.
