ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia’s top transport official held discussion with the Group chairman and CEO of DP World, UAE’s multinational logistics firm, on ways to enhance cooperation with the company.
The delegation led by Transport and Logistics Minister, Dagmawit Moges, met with Group Chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem in Dubai on Monday.
The discussion looked into “on the progress of our joint initiatives”, twitted Dagmawit after the meeting.
Agreement has also been reached on ways “of enhancing our cooperation in logistics sector”, the minister said.
Ethiopia and DP World signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of the Ethiopian side of the Berbera Corridor in May, 2021.
As per the agreement, DP world and its partners will make a Billion US Dollars to develop supply chain infrastructure along the corridor, which involve dry port, silos, warehouses, container yards, cool and cold chain depots, among others.
