Ethiopia Reports 121 More Covid Cases, Zero Death

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has registered 121 new coronavirus cases today, bringing the national confirmed tally to 490,816, according to the ministry of health.

In its latest update issued on Thursday evening, the ministry also reports that only 11 covid-19 patients have recovered from the Covid-19 disease in the last twenty-four hours. The recovery count currently stands at 467,952.

There are now 15,303 confirmed active cases in the country. 

One severely sick Covid patient has been discharged from a hospital today, shows the report that puts the severe cases total at 41.

After recording the highest daily death toll in five months on Wednesday, health officials have reported zero Covid-related fatalities today and the national death toll remains at 7,559.

The public is still being urged to remain vigilant of respiratory disease and get the Covid vaccine shot.  

However, no additional data regarding the vaccine drive has been given as the total shots offered to the public stay the same as the previous twenty-four hours.

Ethiopia has offered 52.25 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to the public since its vaccination campaign started on March 13, 2021.

More than 42.8 million Ethiopians have also been fully vaccinated with a primary series of two doses.
