Germany Pledges Over €80 mln Financial Support to Ethiopia
ADDIS ABABA – Germany has pledged to provide a new 80.6 million Euros grant to Ethiopia, said Ministry of Finance today.
The pledge was announced during a meeting between Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and Ambassador of Germany to Ethiopia, Stephan Auer, on Friday.
The Ministry said the fund will finance various programs. These include productive safety Net program, good governance, land use planning agricultural mechanization and drought resilience programs.
Last week, Ambassador Auer expressed Germany’s commitment to continue Supporting Ethiopia’s Economic Reforms during a discussion he held with Fitsum Assefa, Minister of Planning and Development Minister.
