ADDIS ABABA – Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) advanced into the final of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Association (Cecafa) women’s Club Championship.
Ladies of CBE, who played their semifinal game against the representative of Uganda on Monday afternoon, won 6-4 on penalties.
The match ended in 1-1 draw after 30 minutes extra time at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The win sent CBR into the Cecafa Championship final showdown with repersentative of the host nation, Vihiga Queens, who earlier today won their semifinal game against Simba Queens of Tanzania.
The final match is set on September 5 at at Nyayo Stadium.
The winner of the competition will represent the Cecafa zone at the inaugural Caf Women’s Champions League set for Cairo, Egypt in December.
