Eight Died in Traffic Accident in Bure Town

ADDIS ABABA – At least eight people died after an Isuzu truck loaded with bags of wheat veered off a main road and overturned in Bure Town of Amhara regional State.

The accident occurred on Monday afternoon in a place known as Wude Gesesse area, the town’s communication office said.



At least eight people immediately died while three parked rickshaws and the FSR Isuzu truck with a plate number Code 3, 28290, were also damaged.

Fana Broadcasting report, later, increased the number of fatalities to nine.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident, the bureau said.
