ADDIS ABABA – U.S. Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman has begun his tour to the region in Djibouti where he held talks with the Executive Secretary of the regional bloc, Igad, on Monday.

After the meeting, Workneh Gebeyehu, head of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), said his discussion with Feltman was regarding “about concerns affecting the region”.

The discussion also “looked into ways and means for IGAD and the US to further strengthen partnership for peace, stability, and development”, Workneh added.
