Abiy, Macron Keen to Strengthen Ethio-France Ties

ADDIS ABEBA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Emmanuel Macron have held talks on ways of strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and France.

During the conversation on Wednesday, the two leaders also addressed national and regional issues.

“Thank you Emmanuel Macron for a good conversation on strengthened cooperation between Ethiopia and France as well as support on addressing national and regional issues,” Prime Minister Abiy said in a twitted message after the conversation.

On Tuesday, Abiy held similar discussion with the leader of another European country, Germany chancellor Angela Merkel.
