Ministry Reports 430 New Coronavirus Cases, 6 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia has registered 430 more coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed to nearly 111, 000, according to ministry of Health.

The daily Covid report on Wednesday says that at least 4, 298 people have been tested for coronavirus to identify the new positive cases.

The same report noted that 6 more people have died due to Covid, pushing the death toll so far to 1, 715.

There are now 33, 200 confirmed active case in Ethiopia. Of these, health officials said 331 patients are hospitalized after falling severely ill.

The Ministry said additional 1, 150 people have regained their health. More than 76, 000 people have so far recovered after contracting coronavirus, which cases the deadly respiratory disease.

Since the first case confirmed on March 13, the East African nation has conducted more than 1.6 million laboratory tests, and identified 110, 984 cases.
