Ethiopia Report 769 New Coronavirus Infections, 14 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA –  Ministry of health said on Friday Ethiopia has recorded 769 new Coronavirus cases, making it the highest daily infection number for November.

Over 5271 people have been tested for the virus in twenty-four hours to identify the new positive cases, according to the ministry.

A further 14 people have passed away due to Covid, pushing the death toll to 1, 686.

Currently,  there are over 39, 244 confirmed active case. Of these,  309 patients are severely ill, according to the ministry.

The ministry also said 505 patients have recuperated on the day, bringing the number of recoveries to more than 67, 500.

The country has conducted more than 1.62mln tests since the first coronavirus case confirmed on March 13, and identified 108, 438 infections.
