Ethiopia Reports 399 New Covid-19 Cases, 4 Deaths

ADDIS ABEBA  – Ethiopia has recorded 399 more COVID-19 infections on Sunday,  taking the total number of confirmed cases to more than 102, 000.

In its daily Covid report, the Ministry of Health said the nation conducted over 5000 tests over the past twenty-four hours to identify new positive cases.

Additional 4 people have also died due to Covid-19, pushing the death toll to 1, 569.

The East African nation currently has 37, 283 active cases. Of these, 319 covid patients are hospitalized after falling severely ill, the ministry daily report shows.

The report also indicates that only 191 patients have regained their health. To date, nearly 64, 000 patients have recovered from the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus.

Ethiopia confirmed its first coronavirus case on March 13. Since then, it has registered 102, 720 infections after conducting over 1.56 million laboratory tests.
