Ethiopia Records 536 New Covid-19 Cases, 4 Deaths
ADDIS ABEBA – Ethiopia’s COVID-19 tally has reached over 92, 200, after Ministry of Health reported 536 new cases on Friday.
The country tested 6538 individuals to identify the new positive cases, the ministry of health said in its daily Covid-19 report.
In the past 24 hours, there were also 4 more deaths, pushing the death toll to 1, 400.
The health officials also reported that there are now 44, 709 active cases in Ethiopia. Of these patients, they said more than 315 are severely ill and are hospitalized to get medical attention for the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus.
On the same day, at least 858 patients of COVID-19 recuperated, the daily report said. This latest figure has taken the number of recoveries in the nation so far to more than 46, 118.
To date, the East African country has conducted more than 1.43 million laboratory tests, and confirmed 92, 229 cases.
