Awash Bank Contributes 30mln Birr for ‘Dine for Nation’ Program
ADDIS ABABA- Awash bank has contributed 30 million birrs to ‘Dine for nation’ project which aims to make three spots in tourist destinations.
The ‘Dine for the Nation’ initiative aims to replicate in the feat in Sheger park project in three areas, namely Gorgora of Amhara region, Wonchi of Oromia region, and Koysha of SNNP region.
Awash Bank contribution will be equally shared among the three projects’ beautification and greenery works.
The bank makes the contribution to be a part of the country’s development endeavor as well as build confidence among its customers nationwide, said Tsehay Shiferaw, CEO of the Bank.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed officially launched “Dine for Nation” fundraising project in mid-August in a view to enable Ethiopians and their friends leave their fingerprints in the legacy Ethiopia’s development.
The ‘Dine for the Nation’ initiative aims to raise Birr 3 billion. Its committee aims to collect part of the fund from dinner program booked by VVIP and VIP guests in the first weeks of October, 2020.
VVIP will be paid 10 Million Birr while VIP will value 5 Million Birr per dish.
Meanwhile, Awash bank officials also said the bank has given 3 million birrs to support the Addis Ababa city school feeding program.
