Ethiopia Records 527 New COVID-19 Cases, 10 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – A total of 527 new positive cases were registered in Ethiopia on Saturday, the Ministry of Health said.

The new cases have been identified after the East African nation conducted 7, 679 tests over the past twenty-four hours.



The Ministry’s report also said 10 additional deaths had been recorded, taking the death toll since the start of the pandemic to 1, 165.

There are now 41, 504 active cases in the country and, of these, 272 are severely sick, reported the Ministry of health.

Health officials also said at least 166 patients of COVID-19 have recovered from the respiratory disease, taking the total number to more than 30, 000.
