PM Abiy Visits Sudan to Strengthen Ties

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is in Sudan for an official working visit, his office said on Tuesday.

The PM left Addis Ababa for Khartoum, where he was received by Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdella Hamdok, on Tuesday morning.

“He is expected to hold discussions on bilateral issues with Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lt. General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and PM Sudan PM Hamdok,” said the prime minister office Ethiopia.

PM Hamdok too said their talks would focus on “strengthening our common interests and deepening the historical ties between our sisterly countries”.
