Ethiopia Records 1, 472 New COVID-19 cases, 14 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has reported 1, 472 more coronavirus infections on Monday, taking the tally of confirmed cases to 42, 143.

Over the past twenty-four hours, 18, 851 individuals have been tested for the Covid-19, respiratory illness caused by coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also reported 14 more deaths during the period, pushing the total coronavirus-related deaths to 692.

Healthofficials also said up to 267 patients have recovered from the disease. To date, 15, 262 patients recovered from the COVID-19.

There are now 26, 187 active cases across the country. Of these, 276 patients, who are in severe conditions, are in intensive care units.

Ethiopia confirmed its first case of COVID-19 on March 13. To date, the country has tested 775, 908 people.
