Ethiopia COVID-19 Case Count Jumps by Four, total now 130

ADDIS ABABA – Four more people have tested positive for COVID-19, increasing Ethiopia’s tally of cases to 130.

Various laboratories in the country have conducted at least 766 laboratory tests within twenty-four hours. “Of these, four of them are confirmed positive for COVID-19,” said the Ministry of Health in its daily report.

The patients are aged between 14 and 25 years, and the report says, they were reported in Somali and Oromia regional states.

The three patients were under mandatory quarantine in Jigjiga University after their return from neighboring Puntland.

Officials said they are investigating how a 23-year-old patient who resides in west Hararge’s Kuba Kuricha district infected with the virus.

Meanwhile, the Ministry said 8 more patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from Covid-19 to 58.
