ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew have donated blood in observance of the 16th World Blood Donor Day.
The premier urged all Ethiopians on the occasion to engage in this voluntary, life-saving gift of blood that will save many lives.
The act move was appreciated by the ministry of health. “I want to thank PM Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew for donating blood in recognition to World Blood Donors Day,” said Dr. Amir Aman, Minister of health.
“Giving Blood is a precious gift of life,” he said.
The global community will observe World Blood Donor Day this week.
The Day is celebrated to thank voluntary and unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
