Ethiopia Expresses solidarity with Türkiye after terrorist Attack
ADDIS ABABA – The government of Ethiopia has expressed solidarity with the People and Government of Türkiye following the terrorist attack in Ankara.
The suicide attack on Sunday morning was reportedly carried out by PKK which is considered a terror group in Türkiye, the US, and the EU.
In a statement today, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ethiopia says it “strongly condemned the terrorist attack”.
The statement further states: ”Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their bereaved families during this difficult time.
There is no justification for such a senseless act of violence. Terrorism has no place in our society, and we stand united in condemning these atrocious acts.“
We express our solidarity with the People and Government of Türkiye.”
Two police officers were slightly injured when one of the two terrorists blew himself up in front of Türkiye’s Security General Directorate.
Ankara said it has confirmed links of one of the dead attackers to the PKK terror group, according to the Daily Sabah report.
An investigation into the other terrorist involved in Sunday’s attack continues, the report states.
