Addis Ababa to host India-Africa ICT Expo this week
The 2023 India Africa ICT Expo and Conference is set to take place in Addis Ababa for two days, beginning Wednesday.
The event would bring together more than 100 Information and communication tech companies from India, Ethiopia, and other African countries.
The Indian government through its Telecom Equipment & Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) has been organizing the India-Africa ICT Expo across the continent since 2015.
This year, the ninth edition of the ICT Expo will be held at SkyLight Hotel in Addis Ababa on Wednesday and Thursday.
Ethiopia’s Ministry of Innovation and Technology and Addis Chamber are the co-host of the event.
More than 30 Indian and 50 Ethiopian companies are among the companies scheduled to appear in the ICT expo, the Indian embassy said.
The expo – involving a conference and business networking sessions – “will build and solidify partnership” between India, Ethiopia and other African countries, the Indian embassy says.
It will also facilitate participating and visiting companies to get together and discuss business, according to the embassy.
The 2023 expo is expected to attract 1000+ business visitors from Ethiopia and other African countries.
The previous India-Africa ICT Expo was held in Kenya (2015 & 2016), Nigeria (2017 & 18), Rwanda (2019 & 20), and Ghana (in 2021 & 2022).
