Ethiopian Airlines Launches Flights to Switzerland’s Zürich

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines is set to bolster its global network by adding flights to Switzerland’s largest city Zürich from its hub at Addis Ababa.

Zürich, home to football’s world governing body FIFA, is one of the most important financial centers in the world.

“Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to announce the launch of flights to Zürich, the financial capital of Switzerland, starting from 30 October, 2022,” said the national flag carrier today.

The city would join the vast Ethiopian network as the second destination in Switzerland after Geneva. The Airlines has been operating from Geneva since June 2018.

Ethiopian currently serves close to 130 international destinations operating the youngest and most modern fleet.

The airline officials say Ethiopian would continue to tap into opportunities for growing passenger services.

This month alone, the airlines launched two thrice-weekly passenger services to Washington DC via Togolese capital Lomé, and India’s Chennai city.

It has also increased the frequency of passenger services to Brazil and Argentina as well as Victoria Falls in July.
