Ethiopia Logs 75 More Covid-19 Cases, one Fatality
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has logged 75 fresh Covid-19 infections and one related fatality in the last twenty-four hours, according to the ministry of health.
In a report issued on Monday evening, the Ministry says the patients diagnosed with the covid-19 today have taken the nation’s confirmed tally to 491, 834.
About 79 patients have also recuperated from the disease, bringing the recoveries count to 468, 767.
One Covid patient has been reported dead in the reported period. The death toll currently stands at 7,567.
About 37 severely sick covid-19 patients are getting treatment in medical centers. They are among 15,498 confirmed active cases that exist nationwide.
The public is being urged to get themselves vaccinated against the Coronavirus to keep themselves safe.
Ethiopia started offering Covid vaccine shots to its citizens in March 2021. To date, the country has administered more than 52.52 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Over 43 million people have also received at least two doses of the vaccine against the coronavirus. Health authorities in the country plan to expand the national COVID-19 vaccination coverage to 60% by the end of 2023.
