Ethiopian Envoy, Cyprus FM Discuss Bilateral, Regional Issues

ADDIS ABABA – Ambassador of Ethiopia Demitu Hambisa held bilateral discussion with Cypres Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides to strengthen cooperation on identified areas. 

“The two sides discussed bilateral, regional and international issues as well as the current situation in Ethiopia,” said the Ministry of Foregin Affairs.  

They agreed to work closely on some identified areas, including education, health, tourism and Agriculture, the ministry said.  

During the occasion, Demitu, a non-resident ambassador of Ethiopia to Cyprus,  briefed the minister on the efforts of the government to provide humanitarian assistance to the affected areas due to natural and manmade crises in Ethiopia. 

The Ambassador also briefed the minister on the status of the National Dialogue Commission and the efforts of the government to ensure accountability over violations of human rights.
