Ethiopia registers 13 Fresh Covid Cases, Zero Fatalities

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the nationwide tally to 470, 581.

In its update today, the Ministry of Health confirms zero Covid 19 related fatalities, extending the number of consecutive days without confirmed fatalities to eleven.



The COVID-19-related death toll remains at 7, 510.

The nation’s recovery count also stays the same at 455, 383 after the ministry registered zero recoveries on the day.

There are now 7, 676 confirmed active cases of Covid-19. Of which, 11 are severely sick, reports the ministry.

Ethiopia, Africa’s second most populous nation, has so far reported the largest number of COVID-19 cases in the east Africa region.



Amid its national push for vaccination, Ethiopia has administered more than 29.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

About 24.5 million of its citizens are also fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
