President Bids Farewell to U.S. Ambassador
ADDIS ABABA – President Sahle-Work Zewde bade farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of the United States to Ethiopia, Geeta Pasi.
Ambassador Pasi paid a farewell call on President Sahle-Work at the national Palace on Monday after serving in Addis Ababa for only a year.
The outgoing Ambassador presented her Letter of Credence on March 4th, 2021.
Two weeks ago, the U.S. department of state said Pasi called it a day on her diplomatic career following her deployment in Ethiopia “to pursue other opportunities”.
It also announced Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson will replace Pasi and serve as Chargé d’Affaires, at the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa.
