ADDIS ABABA – Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday said at least 1, 440 Ethiopian nationals will be repatriated from Saudi Arabia.
The announcement came five days after 147 Ethiopians returned home from the same country.
The repatriation process will take place from September 16 to October 6, said Mesfin Gebremariam, consular affairs director-general at the ministry.
About 300 citizens will return home next Wednesday, the consular told state-run news agency. The rest will be repatriated in the coming days, he added.
The repatriation will take pace in joint cooperation between the Ministry, Saudi Arabia government, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
