Coronavirus: Ethiopia Registers 84 New Cases, 7 Fatalities
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has reported 84 more Covid-19 cases and seven-related deaths on Sunday.
In a report, the ministry of health says the new cases were confirmed from more than 8, 400 tests conducted in the past twenty-four hours.
The national total Covid-related fatalities total has reached 7,363, after 7 patients passed away in the reported period.
There are now 58, 226 confirmed active cases nationwide. At least 213 of them are severely sick and are getting medical attention, the ministry notes.
About 214 patients of acute respiratory disease have recuperated in the last 24-hours, bringing the recovery tally 400, 948.
The Ministry of Health is still urging the public to observe the health protocol put in place to prevent themselves from the disease including wearing face masks and getting vaccinated.
A total of 10,975,194 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered since Ethiopia started its vaccine drive on March 13, 2021.
The East African nation has also fully vaccinated nearly 9.4 million of its citizens, according to the ministry of health report.
