MIDROC’s Trans Nation Airways Takes Delivery of Air 360 Aircraft

ADDIS ABABA – MIDROC Investment Group (MIG) has added a US manufactured King Air 360 aircraft into the fleet of Trans Nation Airways PLC (TNA), one of its sister companies engaged in air transportation business.

The investment took the delivery of the aircraft from the Manufacturer Textron Beechcraft on January 9, 2022, at Bole International Airport.

It marked a special moment for MIDROC as TNA acquired a rare aircraft with new features and navigational capabilities, according to the investment group.

TNA General Manager Amir Abdulwahab said the newly delivered aircraft is a unique product which might be the first of its kind owned by private operators in the African continent.

What makes the aircraft special is its effectiveness and configuration alternatives, Amir said speaking during a celebration of the delivery of the fleet.

The General Manager indicated the fuel efficient aircraft can fly non-stop for a long distance up to 4,982km once it is fully fueled, and fly at an altitude up to 35,000 ft. (10,668 m) and a maximum cruise speed of 561km/hr.

He pointed out that the aircraft the offers a flexible reconfigurable interiors with many options including for VIP purpose for 9 passengers or 13 passengers with non-VIP seats.

The aircraft could also be configured for cargo purpose with a capacity of transporting over 2000 kg goods at a time or could be used as an air ambulance with built in passenger patient stretcher as well as other missions.

The addition of the modern aircraft into the fleet of TNA is believed to boost the effectiveness of the company’s service delivery to its customers.

The celebration of the delivery was attended by CEO of MIDROC Investment Group Jemal Ahmed, senior management members of the group and other invited guests.

Trans Nation Airways (TNA) was established in 2004, following receipt of a Business Operating Certificate from the Ministry of Trade and an Air Operator Certificate from the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority.

It has a current fleet of three aircrafts; Two Dash-8-200 aircraft with registration ET-ALX & ET-AKZ and one King Air 360 with Registration ET-AYW.
