Israel Provides 14 Tons of Relief Supplies to IDPs In Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA – Israel has donated 14 tons of relief supplies in support of people who have been displaced due to aggression of the terrorist TPLF in Northern Ethiopia.

Israeli ambassador to Ethiopia Alelign Admasu, handed over the supplies to the ministry of women and Social Affairs at the cargo terminal of Ethiopian Airlines Monday.



The supplies include wheelchairs, cloths and medical and sanitation supplies, according to the ministry.

Labour Minister Ergoge Tesfaye (PhD) has thanked the government and people of Israel for the support.

It would help strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two countries and transform fraternity and cooperation between the two peoples to a higher level, she added.

Israel’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, for his part, said the support is the manifestation of the people-to-people ties between the two countries.

The Ambassador has also pledged his country’s commitment to continue supporting Ethiopia in addressing challenges in the health and other social spheres.



On the same day, the government of France announced an additional funding amounting $2 Millions for Ethiopia.

The support to be extended through WFP and UN Ocha will benefit people in need of humanitarian aid in the three regions of the northern part of the country, according to Ethiopian embassy in Paris.
