ADDIS ABABA – The Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2021) will see Durban host key figures from the world of trade on one platform to deliberate on trade acceleration and investment throughout the African continent.
The event organised by Afreximbank and the African Union (AU), is expected to draw 10, 000 attendees across the continent including entrepreneurs, financiers, and regulators, to South Africa’s Durban International Convention Center.
The organizers said IATF2021 at least $40 billion Dollar of trade and investment deals would be concluded during the seven-day long event, starting from November 15.
The conference, which also involves 1,100 exhibitors showcasing their goods and services, offers unrivalled business and commercial networking opportunities and will boost intra-African trade and investment, said Afreximbank on Thursday.
Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government exchanges will also provide opportunities for further deals, business matchmaking and networking, according to the organizers.
This year’s IATF conference will also be taking a deep dive into a number of thematic areas – including IATF Youth Start-Up program, Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX), and IATF Automotive Show.
“Dedicated Country Days will allow participating countries to showcase trade and investment opportunities, as well as any tourism and cultural attraction,” said Afreximbank.
South Africa, the host country, will kick off on Day One, followed by Egypt on Day Two, Cote d’Ivoire on Day Three and Nigeria on the fourth Day.
