Close to 440 Ethiopians Repatriated from Saudi Arabia

ADDIS ABABA – Some 439 Ethiopians have returned home from Saudi Arabia, according to the Ministry of foreign affairs.

The Government of Ethiopia is currently bringing back its citizens stranded in various foreign countries particularly from the Gulf nations.

“As part of the ongoing effort to repatriate Ethiopians living in difficult situations abroad, 433 nationals have come from Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, yesterday,” said the spokesperson of the Ministry on Friday night.

About 248 of the returnees are women, it added.

The latest returnees has brought the total number of Ethiopians repatriated from Saudi Arabia and Yemen to more than 2, 480. Among these, 357 were from Yemen, according to the Ministry.
