SNNP Region Passes Close to 2.3 bln Birr Budget, approves New Appointment
ADDIS ABABA – SNNP regional state council on Saturday approved close to 2.3 billion birr budget for the 2014 Ethiopian fiscal year.
From the total budget, 1.2 billion birr will be spent for salary and other expenditures in the region, according to the FBC report.
The remaining 477 million and 62 million birrs will finance effort to complete delayed projects and improve municipal services, respectively.
Saturday’s session of the council approved the appointment of Birrara Birhanu as the head of the region’s industry and enterprises development bureau.
The newly approved official was sworn in before members’ of the council.
